Into the Wild

Inspirational stories, true stories. There are a few good movies out there that I find are hidden gems, that are often ‘gems’ simply because they were hidden…

Documentaries are better than any imagination can create. The true story of the climbers in “Touching The Void” was one of them; the coolest geeks you’ve ever cheered for in “The King of Kong” is another example. “Deep Water”, the forgotten story and uncanny adventures of a ’round the world race’, is another. After a recent screening, add “Into the Wild” to the list. A young adult fresh out of college that wants to find out who he is, and what it’s all about.

Into The Wild

All the tag lines seem corny, but each of these flics (and others) have something they can’t tell you about in the synopsis. A twist, a turn, and hidden ‘wow’ and drive that if they did tell you about, it would ruin the effect.

..Respect in my mind is always given to those who ‘try’. Not all succeed, and the one’s who never make it the finish line haven’t necessarily failed. You get one shot at life, here we get a glimpse of what it takes to really live.

P.S.: “Long Nights” by Eddie Vedder, from the Soundtrack. The right song just clicks in sometimes…
